Women’s Justice Service
The Women’s Justice Service supports the prevention, rehabilitation and resettlement work for women involved in the Criminal Justice System.
We offer a ‘Community Women’s Hub’ in Rotherham and Barnsley for women to access structured group work, specialised drop in services and one to one practical and emotional support.
We work closely with the Women and the Probation Workers to address the reasons for offending.
We will empower women to participate in planning and development of services
Post Abuse Support Service
- Start to recover from the trauma of Child and Adult Sexual Exploitation and abuse;
- Build resilience and develop coping strategies for everyday life;
- Improve their self-esteem and self-confidence;
- Improve their mental health and wellbeing;
- Be supported in fulfilling their maximum potential; and
- Reduce the risk of harm.
The Adult Sexual Exploitation Partnership
Support for women recovering from trauma, sexual exploitation,
grooming and survival sex. Providing empathy, understanding,
consistency, one-to-one support, drop-ins and trauma- informed
therapeutic group work for women aged 16+.
PAS
Offers therapeutic interventions and holistic support to victims/survivors 12+ who have historically experienced or are currently experiencing Child sexual exploitation, Child sexual abuse and/or sexual violence. Post Abuse offers one to one emotional and practical support, safeguarding and promoting welfare of victims/survivors.
Trauma and Resilience Service
- Support for women 18+ recovering from complex sexual trauma, providing trauma focused therapeutic support to manage their current experience and feelings, to develop coping strategies to manage anxiety and concerns, to prevent re-traumatising them.
- To provide pre-trial and post-trial support.
- Provide a holistic package of support that enables women to manage trauma symptoms and distress, impacting on their current lives.
- Deliver the Trauma Stabilisation Programme through group work and 1-1
Young Women's Service
Liberty Project
Available In Rotherham And Barnsley
The Liberty Project will work with Girls and Young Women aged 13 -18 years with a high risk of offending, or a history of involvement in the criminal justice system. We will support and empower Girls and Young Women to make informed and positive choices.
The Liberty Project will support girls and young women to:
- Develop skills and abilities to redefine a future away from the criminal justice system and engagement in risky behaviours Build resilience and develop coping strategies
for everyday life; - Improve their self-esteem and self-confidence;
- Improve their mental health and wellbeing;
- Be supported in fulfilling their maximum potential; and
- Reduce the risk of harm.
Hear Her Voice Service
The Hear Her Voice is an after-crisis support service for women and their children who have previously been subjected to domestic abuse.
The service will support women to:
- Start to recover from the trauma of Domestic Abuse;
- Build resilience and develop coping strategies for everyday life;
- Improve their self-esteem and self-confidence;
- Improve their mental health and wellbeing;
- Be supported in fulfilling their maximum potential; and
- Reduce the risk of harm.
